Landscape Workshops
Maverick and Sawmill Trail Loop:
This easy to
moderate 2.4 mile loop boasts the history of the West! You can
almost put yourself in the Frontier Explorer's shoes as they discovered
the vast plains and majestic mountains of Colorado. Come experience a
piece of the excitement they must have felt as we explore this
historical trail. Along the way you will witness the expansive high
plains, the colorful contrast of the red Ralston Buttes in the
distance, switchbacks through the ponderosa pines, and end at an old
ranch that was part of a historic Homestead. Although the distance of
this hike is relatively short in length, you will not find yourself
short on images to reflect in your camera. So, spend the day capturing
some Colorado history through the eye of your lens on September 10th as
we go back in time.
