Exploration of Colorado’s eastern plains
Next date: TBD
Cost: $350
The plains east of Denver are flat and big. You can see forever in all directions. But, there isn't a whole lot that meets the eye. That is, unless you know where to look.
Photographer Kit Hedman is a veteran traveler of the prairie. He'll be our guide as we travel off the beaten path, exploring an abandoned farm house, derelict silos and the timeless towns that make up this unusual landscape.
Join us on Saturday April 17th, after the taxes have been sent off and the winter has moved away.
We’ll start with a get together on April 15th from 6:30 – 8:30 pm to go over everything for the excursion to the plains. We will cover some ideas on what to shoot and how, what to bring, and outline what the day will hold as well as answer any questions that you may have. We will also schedule a review and critique night at the first meeting. Then, for the photos that you are really proud of, a show will be scheduled so that the rest of the world can see them as well.
On Saturday the 17th at the crisp hour of 7:00 am we depart for the plains and will be there into the evening so that we can capture all the great places Kit will take us to, and then the sunset which should also be magical. This will be an all day affair so a box lunch will be provided.
Check out Kit Hedman’s website for examples of some of his work. It is outstanding!
This will be one of those don’t miss workshops, so, make sure you sign up early!
